10 Most Hated Characters In MCU History
5. Hank Pym
With the source material stretching back for decades, there are certain Marvel characters that have a history best forgotten by all. In the case of Hank Pym, there is one moment in particular that has cast a shadow over him ever since it happened.
Back in 1981, Pym was depicted as beating his wife, Janet, and fans have never truly forgiven him since. This didn't stop the MCU bringing him to the big screen in 2015 with Ant-Man, and though he is portrayed as nothing less than devoted when it comes to his wife, the franchise gave audiences plenty more reasons not to like him.
Like Odin, he left a lot to be desired as a father. When Janet was lost, Hank simply wasn't there for his seven year old daughter, which played into the character's selfishness. He let Hope down, and even after they amends in later life, he was still some way short of likeable.
He is arrogant, rude, and grumpy to the point that he almost cancels out Scott Lang's comedy. Not to mention that his experiments have caused more pain than anything else over the years. He even fired Elihas Starr just because he had the guts to disagree with him.
