10 Most Insane Demands That Famous Actors Made For Movies

9. George Clooney Demands Hot Tub, Custom Beach Hut & Private Basketball Court - Gravity

Warner Bros.

Nobody wants to be the guy who said "no" to George Clooney, which is presumably why he got his extravagant wishes granted during the making of 2013's space-based thriller Gravity. Never mind that the Cloonmeister (why won't that name catch on?) was only in the film for, like, thirty minutes, the silver-haired star supposedly requested that a custom beach hut, hot tub and private basketball court be built next to his trailer in England - to a cost of £100,000. Yikes!

Now, look: George Clooney is one of the Hollywood's biggest stars - slap him on a movie poster, and you've pretty much hit every audience demographic in one fell swoop. He also seems to be a genuinely cool guy, down to Earth in ways that a lot of actors aren't. He's worth the cash. Still, we can't help but feel as though the basketball court is a little overkill. Wasn't the experience of making Gravity enough? Could we not have donated £100,000 to sad animals instead?
