10 Most Insane Things That Ever Happened At Comic-Con

At this point, suiting up in a costume to navigate the con floor in peace (because they're disguised!) is a common practise amongst stars: Daniel Radcliffe disguised himself in a superhero costume, Michael Cera turned up to the aforementioned Scott Pilgrim panel as Captain America, and Bryan Cranston somehow managed to hide underneath a Walter White mask.

The celebrity who did it best, though, was Andrew Garfield. In 2011, the young British actor then mostly unknown to international audiences had been cast as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man. Fans were sceptical, by both the reboot that came so soon after the last Spidey movie, and with an Englishman in the role.

So, Garfield put on a cheap, store-bought Spider-Man costume and asked the first question at that year's webhead-centric panel, delivering a passionate, emotional speech about how the much the character meant to him as a child through to now, winning over any doubters and proving that maybe he could do whatever a spider... could. It was a huge surprise, and incredibly sweet.
