10 Most Memorable Death Scenes In Horror Films

2. Nanny - The Omen (1976)

"Look at me, Damien, it's all for you!"

There are a fair few death scenes in The Omen that wouldn't have looked out of place on this list (the famous decapitation; the priest's impaling; Mrs Thorn being thrown from a hospital window), but the most iconic has to be the suicide of Damien's nanny.

While celebrating the Antichrist's birthday with a lavish party, his nanny spots a strange rottweiler who appears to have gone entirely unnoticed by the other party guests. The dog doesn't flinch, and the two stare into each other's eyes as the sinister music swells. The merriment continues, and the nanny reappears on a ledge, a noose around her neck, calling "Damien, look at me! Damien I'm over here - Damien, I love you!"

"It's all for you" is the line everyone rightly remembers from The Omen; it's a really unnerving moment. It's also impressive that in a scene that features a creepy-ass clown (how anybody thought he was an appropriate entertainer for a kiddie's birthday party is baffling), he isn't the creepiest part. Bravo.
