10 Most Overused Lines In Movie History

9. "I'll Be Back"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgPePk3kGZk To be fair, this is one line of dialogue that is only ever really spoken by one or two people, and it's always either contained within one franchise or spoken by one actor. This classic quote, of course, stems from the 1984 sci-fi classic The Terminator, in which Arnold Schwarzenegger uttered the immortal line "I'll be back" before ramming a car into a police station. It's a quote that immediately lets you know that, in every iteration of the franchise, the machine protagonist/antagonist of the Terminator series is going to return at an opportune moment to save/wreck the day, no doubt. Though it's great fun to hear it said intermittently, Arnie arguably got a little carried away with it post-Terminator, using it and variations in Commando, Raw Deal, The Running Man, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Last Action Hero (to amusingly postmodern effect), Jingle All the Way, The 6th Day and The Expendables 2. Though I love that Arnie's returned to action movies, I've just about had my fill of that three-letter utterance and any similar take on it.
