Total Downloads: 46.8 million Now this was a real surprise, considering that a) Interstellar came out way back in 2014, and b) the plethora of other quality films that came out in 2015. That is testament to Christopher Nolan's ability to make such quality, universally-accessible cinema. For all of Interstellar's flights of science-fancy, the emotional connection that exists at its core between father and daughter is relatable at first and later, heartbreaking. The raw, emotional performance from McConaughey gets more and more intense - especially after he and his crew spend too damn long on that water planet on the other side of the Universe. Upon returning to his ship, he finds video messages from his now-adult son and daughter that are utterly devastating to watch him react to. It's those sensitive, human beats that really make the film stand out from the rest of the sci-fi crowd (okay, so everything else about the movie is pretty damn special too). The grand message of the film is 'love is quantifiable', a wonderfully accessible theme for a wide range of viewer demographics. Which of these movies did you enjoy the best in 2015?
