Total Downloads: 31 million Few people enjoyed Terminator Genisys, really. A few token millions turned up at the cinema out of some vain hope that journeyman director Alan Taylor might pull something out of the bag - even if it was just one or two choice moments with Arnie. Unfortunately, there was none of that to be found. Critics gave it a drubbing (25% on Rotten Tomatoes), and no one was talking about it around the water cooler. At least not positively. A needlessly-confusing plotline akin to the time travel version of spaghetti along with some decidedly beige performances from Khaleesi and Captain Boomerang made for a dull trudge through 126 minutes of wasted time. The only reason people may have downloaded this one online is brand recognition, curiosity and boredom. What pirates and paying cinema-goers alike would have found was only the absolute character assassination of Christ-figure John Connor. Once the filmmakers decided to turn Jason Clarke's version of the character into a Terminator, well, you can see why people would be pissed off with that plot development. It's like Jesus coming back after his three days being dead and becoming a Roman Centurion.
