Some analysts suggest that the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie is the most expensive film ever made due to the inflated production costs it took to make it (Johnny Depp's got to eat!). Officially, the movie cost around $250 million to make but some suggest that's a modest final total for how much it cost to put the whole thing together. Disney presumably didn't bank on the film being downloaded so mercilessly but don't feel too sorry for them... the 2011 movie ended up grossing over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
