10 Most Powerful (Fictional) Women Of 2015

9. Storm

Furiosa Mad Max Fury Road
Marvel Comics

Introduced as part of the All-New X-men, Storm was one of the first major African American characters in the history of comics. Storm is one of the most powerful mutants on Earth with her power to control the elemental power of the weather. Although Storm has been given less than fair treatment over the years by some writers, she remains one of the strongest and most well-rounded female characters in comics.

Storm is also not only one of the most powerful, but also one of the most colourful characters on the list. Over the course of her life, Storm has been a pickpocket, a goddess, an adventurer, a queen and leader of the X-Men. She's been in the thrall of Dracula, married the Black Panther, and dated Wolverine.

Despite only having a minor role in last year's Days of Future Past, Storm has once again returned to the foreground of Marvel comics following the Death of Wolverine story arc. With Wolverine dead, Storm has stepped up as the new Headmistress of the Jean Grey School and, by extension, the de facto leader of the X-men.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
