2. Emperor Palpatine
How old is this guy, looking like the oldest man alive and held together by the robes he wears and Sterident. Palpatine, also know as Darth Sidious, served as the last Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Emperor. Following the rule of the two set down within Sith legend, Palpatine was the most powerful Sith Lord in galactic history. This is a character whose very existence is the backbone of the Star Wars universe. His character and spiritual presence is felt throughout the whole Star Wars series. If anything can be taken from the must derided prequel trilogy is that we actually get to see the rise of this character and how the phrase, power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, is very apt when it comes to this characters rise to power.
Why ridiculous? If I could point out the one moment where this character becuase ridiculous is the scene in Revenge of The Sith , where after finalising his plan to kill all the Jedis and corrupting Anakin Skywalker, Palpatine, in a spot of bother, getting himself electrocuted, ages before our very eyes to the emperor we all love to hate from the original trilogy. I always felt that this was kind of an easy and ridiculous way out for Lucas to age the character quickly, seeing as he is almost skeletle and near death in the original trilogy films.
