10 Most Satisfying Disney Villains Deaths Of All Time
1. Judge Claude Frollo - The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Disney made the wise decision of keeping Judge Claude Frollo consistent with Victor Hugo’s novel, and in doing so ended up with one of the creepiest villains in their history. With the power of the law on his side and a religious fanaticism that you might not see in today’s kids films, Frollo is basically untouchable in 15th century Paris, and uses his powers to basically be a sex pest.
In his attempts to woo the beautiful Esmeralda, Frollo makes a classic dating blunder when he threatens to burn her at the stake if she won’t go out with him. In an unsettling scene, he actually tries to go through with it, until she is rescued by the valiant Quasimodo. The fiendish judge and the titular hunchback grapple on the also-titular cathedral, and in due course Frollo tumbles from the structure - into a pool of molten lead!
Much of this film is genuinely quite frightening, admirably refraining from toning down the source material, and this is true especially of Judge Frollo. He’s not just evil and greedy like a lot of Disney baddies, he’s full on demented, and his disgusting death is quite frankly all he deserves!
