9. Mrs. Voorhees (Friday the 13th)
The best way to put an end to hearing the phrase "kill her mommy, kill her!" would be to have Mama Voorhees head lopped off. Friday the 13th delivered in that department and easily created one of the more visually striking villain deaths in cinema history. Betsy Palmer, who portrayed Jason's mother in this first of many Friday the 13th films, was outstanding for the little screen time she had. For about 80% of the film you're left guessing who really is responsible for taking out all the good looking camp counselors on Crystal Lake. In the end you get a creepy, somewhat hokey, but very effective villain that shows up in the final ten minutes of the film. Seeing Alice wind up and lop off Mrs. Voorhees head on the sandy beach will be remembered in cinema lore forever, as well as being an extremely satisfying villain death in the end.
