10 Most Shocking Post-Credit Movie Reveals

4. Deadpool Casually Drops Sequel Details - Deadpool

Deadpool 2 may have featured a brilliant mid-credits montage of the Merc with a Mouth travelling through time to avert certain wrongs - killing the X-Men: Origins - Wolverine take on Deadpool, shooting Ryan Reynolds as he reads the Green Lantern script, and even toying with the idea of killing an infant Adolf Hitler - but that film's predecessor also had a totally badass credits moment.

There was no time-travel shenanigans at play during the closing credits of that first Deadpool movie, but fans were given the grin-inducing shock reveal that fan favourite character Cable would be a part of Deadpool 2.

That Deadpool mid-credits scene initially saw Reynolds' Regenerating Degenerate pulling inspiration from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, telling the audience to please go home. But in typical Pooly-D fashion, Wade then dropped the bombshell that Cable would be along for the ride the next time out.

Josh Brolin would land that role for Deadpool 2, of course, with the plan being to then put together a full X-Force movie featuring Cable, Deadpool, Zazie Beetz's Domino and certain others. The future of that film is still a little up in the air, mind, following Disney's assimilation of 21st Century Fox.
