10 Most Terrifying Vacation Horror Movies

2. Death Of Me

The Ruins
Saban Films

Imagine heading on your dream vacation to Thailand, hitting the booze hard, then waking up to a video that causes you to question what went on during the prior night.

No, not in a 'wait, we met Mike Tyson?' kinda way, ala The Hangover movies. Instead, Death of Me sees vacationing couple Christine (Maggie Q) and Neil (Luke Hemsworth) waking up to find a video of them having some intense, rough sex, before Neil then strangles his beau and dumps her body in a shallow grave.

In the present day, mind, Christine is clearly alive and well, as she and her partner have to work out what the hell is going on - and that quest takes them into the realm of talismans, witchcraft and the general dark arts, while an ominous typhoon watches over proceedings.

Given how Death of Me has only actually been widely available since the turn of the year, it's fair to stay away from all-out spoiler territory here, but this is one horror vacation effort well worth your time. In particular, Maggie Q is on phenomenal form, as her Christine gets thoroughly put through the wringer in this Darren Bousman picture.
