10 Most Twisted Quentin Tarantino Movie Characters

2. Calvin Candie - Django Unchained

As you might expect from the owner of the fourth largest plantation in the South, Calvin Candie is a child of privilege who has absolutely no problem trading his fellow human beings for cold hard currency, but that€™s not enough to make him a thoroughly repellent character. When we first meet him, he€™s enjoying the sight of two slaves wrestling on the floor of his study, and when the champion tears out his opponent€™s eyes, it amuses him further. It€™s a good thing Candie€™s boy triumphed, too, because when he buys a slave for $500, Candie expects to get five fights out of him, otherwise the guy gets fed to the dogs. Like most racists, he has a theory explaining why blacks are €œinferior€ - it€™s all to do with the three dimples on the back of their skull. The dimples are located in the part of the brain associated with servility, so by selling coloured people as slaves, he€™s just helping Mother Nature along.
