1. Jay Leno - Collision Course
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0HtTUrYwts The buddy cop movie has been a fine institution of action movies, in that it mixes enough comedy with the action that a lot of unconventional actors can actually make a good name for themselves in the action arena. It might be amazing to think of now, but back in the 80s, there really were executives sitting in board rooms who thought that Jay Leno might be credible in an action movie...co-starring Pat Morita (yes, that's Mr. Miyagi from The Karate Kid). The film follows the buddy cop film formula to a T; Leno and Morita's characters are from different cultures, and so they have a lot of not-so-funny misunderstandings and disagreements, while in the pursuit of a common enemy they forge an unexpected friendship and come to understand each other. If the idea of seeing Leno playing a racist, out-of-shape police officer alongside the world's most famous Sensei takes your fancy, then this might be worth checking out. But we suggest you quit drinking instead. Which action heroes have you found terribly unconvincing? Let us know in the comments below.
