10 Most Underrated Harry Potter Characters
2. Regulus Black
The life of Regulus Black was only ever told through the recollections of other characters. Despite this, his story was surprisingly intriguing.
As part of the Black family, Regulus was brought up with a rigid sense of pride due to his pure-blood status. Given such a foundation, he was drawn to Voldemort’s vision of magical dominance over the muggle population, and joined the Death Eaters.
However, after realising the depths to which Voldemort was willing to sink in order to achieve his goals, Regulus turned on his new master. Though the details are never fully revealed, Regulus discovered Voldemort’s secret – horcruxes. In response to this discovery, he managed to steal Slytherin’s locket, sacrificing himself in the process.
It’s a shame that such a tale was not covered in more detail, perhaps via the Pensive, because Regulus Black was an unsung hero.
