10 Most Underrated Horror Movie Sequels EVER
9. Creep 2
In a world where found footage films are some of the most inventive and frustrating in horror, Patrick Brice and Mark Duplass' Creep series truly is a breath of fresh air.
The first film introduces audiences to Duplass' character, Josef, a strange man who kicks off each film by putting out advertisements on Craigslist asking for a cameraman to document his day to day life. Duplass' performance is undoubtedly the highlight of Creep, creating a character that is, as the name might suggest, seriously creepy.
The first Creep film was released in 2014 and was praised for its acting and tension, with Brice quickly announcing a sequel being in the works. Creep 2 was released in 2017 and recaptures the suspense of the original with its found footage approach, whilst throwing in an extra layer of creepiness with a far more in-stride version of Josef.
The mystery around Josef's instability and motivations are gone by Creep 2, allowing for the film to go full pelt with his craziness from the off. Desiree Akhavan comes in as final girl Sara and is also a great character, fully confident and capable of both standing up for herself and unlocking this killer's psyche.
