10 Most Underrated Horror Movies Of The Decade
7. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010)
Who says horror can't be funny? While Cabin In The Woods gets the lion's share of praise when it comes to transformative, meta horror movies, Tucker & Dale vs Evil is arguably even smarter and even more affectionate. Partly because it didn't seek to deconstruct the horror industry in quite the same way Joss Whedon did.
Instead, the film takes the age-old convention of cabin in the woods style movies and tells it from an entirely different perspective, as two hapless hillbillies (played by the wonderful Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine) end up wrongly accused of being psychopathic murders over a misunderstanding and several ludicrous accidental deaths misinterpreted by a group of kids as a murder spree.
It's genius and Tudyk and Labine are so charming that it's an effortlessly rewatchable delight that just didn't land as well as Cabin In The Woods.
