10 Movie Characters Who Returned Way More Badass In Sequels
6. Wolverine - The Wolverine
When Hugh Jackman debuted as James Logan in the first X-Men movie, he was pretty far removed from the lean, vascular creature he would evolve into later in the series. This was mostly down to him being cast late and not having quite the time to chisel himself out of his Broadway performer look and into something more befitting the comics version of Wolverine.
But then as the sequels came about, Logan sharpened his claws and cut his carbs and began to look a lot more fiersome. It wasn't until The Wolverine sought to wipe X-Men: Origins - Wolverine out of existence that he got the biggest injection of cool though. His hair was toned down from silly quiff to tousled Men's Health model and his body became so sculpted he looked just about ready to burst with effort.
And there was more grit and more anti-hero cool in there too, which was a good thing after Origins actually made his brother Sabretooth far more cool. That sort of crime shouldn't stand!
