What They Think: "Johnny Depp is an amazing actor because his hotness elevates any film he is in." Above all other fanbases, the one I can't stand the most, the one that seems to defy logic above all others is the blind fanboyism for Johnny Depp, who seems to star in financially successful films no matter how execrably bad the script or how phoned in his performance might be. Though the man has a number of superb performances under his belt, he's also been blatantly milking the cash cow by starring in four increasingly risible Pirates of the Caribbean films, and giving bland performances in other blatant paycheque roles like The Tourist and Dark Shadows. He's an actor largely popular because of his looks and his charisma, and this extends to his fans for blindly defending him and his body of work without actually looking at what he makes and assessing its merits (or lack thereof). He happens to be a great actor too, though too frequently squanders his talent, yet his fans seem incapable of realising this, or simply don't want to. Which movie fanbase annoys you the most?
