8. Westley - The Princess Bride
"We are men of the people. Pandering does not become us." A man that defies any sense of limitation: Pirate, swordsman, wrestler, lover, amateur chemist€ whatever this man sets out to do. he succeeds. Beyond that, President Westley has a mind that outmatches any and all that come his way. Defeating Vizzini in a game of wits, Inigo Montoya with his blade, and Fezzik with his strength, Westley is a man of many talents. But it is his use of language that would most set apart President Westley from the rest of mere mortals. Armed with nothing but the ability to move his eyes and his mouth, Westley subdues Humperdinck to a mere disobedient child using nothing more than a set of retorts that are able to strike at the very nature of his opponent. His negotiation style would be just as cutting, while his features and personality would always keep the table open for debate. President Westley would not be the most liked of presidents, but he would be well respected.
