These days, casting Javier Botet to play a monster in your movie seems like an absolute no brainer. However Guillermo Del Toro went one step further and had Botet play not one, not two, but three movie ghosts in his horror romance Crimson Peak. Literally, he got three for the price of one.

Crimson Peak may not be the conventional horror that the mass public wanted it to be, but it's a damn fine movie, and the lavish gothic horror dripping from every frame is frighteningly exquisite. Harkening back to the horrors of old, Crimson Peak tells the story of the newly married Edith and Thomas, who move to Thomas's decrepit family home.

Like many marriages, theirs does not go smoothly. Away from home, Edith not only has to contend with Thomas's cold sister Lucille, but the seemingly numerous ghosts haunting is walls. Enter Javier Botet, as he plays the ghosts of Enola, Margaret, and Pamela, in their various frightening forms as they appear to terrorise Edith into discovering an even more frightening truth.
