5. CG Posters
Computer graphics have developed a lot over the past 20 years; this means that it's a lot easier for poster artists to create fantastic designs. Today it is a lot more common to see a poster with the illustrations entirely computer generated. Because you can make designs quickly and easily now you unfortunately get really lazy designs. Horror films tend to be the worst for having really rubbish CGI designs that you can tell have been quickly made in one afternoon with very little thought given to them. Not every poster created with the help of CGI is bad - the Scream 4 poster was quite clever and was a good change from the other three posters before it. Its unlikely horror CGI posters will die off simply because for every five rubbish designs, there's always a really good one every once and a while.
