The Reveal
The Armitage family's dark secret is that they transplant their elderly family members' brains into the bodies of the young, fit, and healthy black people that they kidnap.
As such, the various black employees on the property are actually "possessed" by old white people, such as housekeeper Georgina (Betty Gabriel) being under the control of Rose's (Allison Williams) grandmother.
How To Spot It Early
Writer-director Jordan Peele does a fantastic job sewing hints to the movie's true narrative throughout, though drops the most obvious, least abstract visual nod to the big reveal near the start of the movie.
When Dean Armitage (Bradley Whitford) is showing Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) around his house, he enters the kitchen and tells him, "My mother loved her kitchen, so we keep a piece of her in here."
Just then, Peele focuses his camera solely on Georgina for a pregnant moment, and to anyone paying sufficient attention, the combination of dialogue and loaded glance provide an overt hint at what's to come.
