10 Movie Sequels Whose Titles No Longer Made Sense

7. Porky's II: The Next Day

Porky's is the morally dubious teen sex comedy that inspired a hundred movie imitators and probably a fair few grubby sex pests as well. Best remembered for a sequence that essentially implies that any woman that doesn't enjoy strange men spying on her in the shower is some kind of ballbusting feminazi who deserves to be taken down a peg or two, Porky's is the story of a group of teen guys who are probably still virgins for good reasons, but don't want to be. Most of what plot there is follows the guys as they attempt to sneak underage into a club run by the sleazy Porky and then get back at him when they fail. Neither Porky nor his self titled venue make any appearance in the sequel, however, nor does Porky's II: The Next Day take place entirely on the day after the first film. Somewhat bizarrely for the sequel to a sex comedy, most of the plot is about fighting to be able to perform Shakespeare, but don't let that fool you into thinking there is any more sophistication than the first one. Porky was back for revenge, though, in the far more logically titled Porky's Revenge. The legacy of the original can be seen still in American Pie, which had no real pie content after the first one.
