10 Movie Sets That Were (Allegedly) Haunted

2. Introducing Dorothy Dandridge

You may not have heard of the film, but you need to know about the story behind it. Unlike the rest of the productions on this list Introducing Dorothy Dandridge was nothing even approaching a horror movie - it was a straight biopic of the first African-American to be nominated for an Oscar - which makes the incidents that occurred even stranger. Halle Berry played Dandridge in this TV movie, and it's Berry who appeared to to be the target of a poltergeist that followed her wherever she went. According to the actress, who coincidentally would later become the first (and to date only) woman of colour to win an Oscar for a leading role, bizarre happenings followed her home from the set. Which she puts down to the fact that she she borrowed a gown that actually belonged to Dandridge home. Berry claimed to hear €œthe sound of water boiling€ before seeing a doll's dress float in mid-air in front of the dead actress' gown. She ran into her bedroom and hid until it was safe to come out.
