4. The Eulogy - The Big Lebowski
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbK4Hy2ZXEE Though The Big Lebowski is filled with ingenious dialogue, the only bit that constitutes as a speech is a hilarious eulogy given by unstable Vietnam vet Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) for his departed friend and bowling teammate, Donny. Like almost everything else with Walter, his eulogy about Donny's love of bowling and surfing quickly becomes a testament to Vietnam, much to the chagrin of The Dude (Jeff Bridges). The hilarious, totally off-base eulogy ends with Donny's ashes being blown into the face of The Dude, and The Dude responds in the only way he knows how: a profanity-laden reaction to Walter's blunder with the ashes and his completely unrelated remarks about Vietnam. Naturally, Walter attempts to make up with The Dude by asking him to go bowling, which The Dude certainly abides.
