3. Nathan Fillion Is Wonder Man In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Nathan Fillion will apparently be playing Simon Williams, better known as Wonder Man, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. That said, his role will likely be more of an Easter egg than an actual, physical role.
Posters featuring Fillion as Williams, who in the comics was a reformed villain-turned-Avenger that eventually becomes an actor, were glimpsed on the movie's set, advertising fake movies that Williams has supposedly starred in, including a hilarious Steve Jobs-esque biopic of Tony Stark.
While there's been much discussion about what the nature of an Earth-set scene in the sequel could mean, expect this to be a blink-and-you'll-miss-it nod to the Firefly actor. Considering that he also voiced an alien prisoner in the original Guardians, hopefully he'll keep recurring in sneaky cameos like this.
