10 Movie Stars Who Should Never Promote Anything (Ever)

2. Gary Busey

On December 4th 1988, Hollywood actor Gary Busey, Oscar-nominated a decade earlier for his lead role in The Buddy Holly Story, was involved in a horrendous motorcycle accident. He fractured his skull and was in a coma for weeks. Managing to learn how to walk and talk again, Busey has been€ a little odd ever since.

This is, after all, the man who claimed that five parts of his brain contained alien power: the man who turns normal words into bizarre backronyms (DOUBT, apparently, stands for €œDebate On Understanding Bewildersome Thoughts€, while FEAR means €œFalse Evidence Appearing Real€). Then there€™'s the time he threatened Swedish chat show presenters with a machete, after soaking fellow guests with a garden hose, the times that he would randomly yell at interviewers on the red carpet, the strange behaviour towards fellow guests on reality shows and interviews (he licked Jennifer Garner€™'s neck and completely freaked Meat Loaf out on Celebrity Apprentice).

Anyone who's seen Busey interviewed in recent years - or seen him on Celebrity Big Brother - knows that his issues have become worse, not better. He€™'s now 71, still working despite everything€ but if you€™re hiring him to work on a project, don'€™t put him on the promotional merry-go-round.
