10 Movie Stars You Didn't Know Were Completely Weird In Real Life

4. Shoplifting - Winona Ryder

If you wanted to understand how Winona Ryder ended up behaving so weirdly perhaps all you'd need to do is take a look at her early career - Ryder's appearance in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands are all you need to see to get a hint of where the strangeness originated. While Winona Ryder might have been the darling of Hollywood after a string of hits, it didn't take long for the pressure of stardom to take its toll on the young actress. In 2001 she was filmed trying to walk out of Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue with a stack of unpaid-for merchandise, which she tried to dismiss as getting into the role of a kleptomaniac. At least she appears to have sorted herself out in the years since, with her career tentatively stepping back into recovery mode. Appearances in Black Swan, Star Trek and The Iceman are all promising signs that Ryder isn't done with Hollywood just yet.
