Despite how much cynicism should be poured on the suggestion that some film productions are cursed, the amount of evidence that suggests that there might just be a "Curse Of Batman" is surprisingly compelling. Heath ledger of course tragically died of an accidental drug overdose after filming of The Dark Knight, Christian Bale was accused of assaulting his sister and mother, and Morgan Freeman suffered serious injuries in a car crash. And unfortunately, two members of Nolan's cast and crew died on set. First, special effects technician Conway Wickliffe was killed when the 4x4 he was riding in while shooting a Batmobile stunt sequence crashed into a tree at just 20mph. Fatally, Wickliffe was leaning out of an open window operating a camera on a test run for the sequence in which the Batmobile would be blown up. Unfortunately, another special effects technician, Bruce Monroe-Armstrong, failed to make the turn required at the end of its run, and glanced off a tree, killing Wickliffe on site. The Dark Knight, was dedicated to him and the tragic Joker actor with the words: "In memory of our friends Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe". The second death came on the set of The Dark Knight Rises when a male extra died after suffering a heart attack during rehearsals of a large scale fight scene.
