The inner cynic in all of us sometimes asks HOW does James Bond manage to get away from every fight without getting hit by at least one bullet or spraining an ankle somewhere admist the action? Well, the realistic version of the spy films would tell us that 007 does, in fact, not always get away unscathed from every battle.

In nearly every single production of a James Bond flick, there has always been someone, whether it's the leading man, a stuntman or a crew member, to sustain an injury and it's hard to narrow it down to just one accident. From Walter Gotell burning his eyelids to Sean Connery hurting his back, the action seems to get too real when filming for 007.

Arguably the worst injury of all occurred during You Only Live Twice (1967), as cameraman John Jordan was dangling from a helicopter in order to film the scene, when another helicopter blade sliced off the foot. His foot was reattached by surgeons, but when Jordan returned to England, he had to have it amputated.

But the biggest victim of MOST injuries gained during production of James Bond is definitely Daniel Craig. In Casino Royale, he got punched in the mouth by another actor and it knocked out two of his teeth. In Quantum of Solace, during a fight sequence, Craig suffered a gash to the face which required eight stitches. And allegedly, in the upcoming No Time To Die, Daniel sprained his ankle and needed surgery.

Maybe it IS best for Daniel Craig's health that he be replaced for Bond 26.
