Money shots don't get much cooler than that of the USS Enterprise being destroyed in the climax of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

For even the most casual of Trek fans, this should've been a goosebump-raising moment, but of course, the trailer gave this incredible image away for free. And in case there was somehow any lingering doubt, a voiceover even declares the film to be the "final voyage of the starship Enterprise." Yikes.

Producer Harve Bennett, who also wrote the script, wanted the Enterprise's destruction to be a huge, stunning surprise for fans, and so he and the film's cast were reportedly left furious by the executive decision to freely spoil it in a trailer.

It's still a great moment, but given that Star Trek III already had the major hook of Spock's (Leonard Nimoy) probable resurrection - which impressively wasn't spoiled in the trailer - it was total marketing overkill to ruin this insane moment.
