10. George Miller Wants To Call His Mad Max Sequel "Mad Max: The Wasteland"
Nobody could have predicted the success of George Miller's long-awaited third sequel to his own Mad Max, made over thirty years after the original Australian cult classic hit theatres and made an absolute killing at the box office. With the original flick, which starred Mel Gibson, Miller pretty much invented the idea of the apocalypse as a deserted wasteland ruled by bikers and freaks; with his latest instalment, he has totally redefined the modern action blockbuster. It's a certified masterpiece, with critics calling it the best Mad Max movie yet and praising it for its wholly feminist slant. Given the success of the movie, then (it's doing great at the box office; especially for a film that nobody was even sure they wanted), Miller has opened up on the possibly of a sequel. He has at least two more planned, apparently, and even dished out a potential title for the next chapter in the rebooted Mad Mad saga: "Mad Max: The Wasteland." Simple, but effective. Get to work, then, George.
