10 Movie & TV Spoilers We Didn't Know Last Week (22nd June)

2. Channing Tatum Says Gambit Won't Appear In X-Men: Apocalypse (But Wolverine Will)

Channing Tatum recently took to Reddit to promote his new movie, Magic Mike XXL, and in the process of his AMA he was asked whether or not Gambit would make an appearance in the upcoming sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse. To which Tatum (who was announced as the latest actor to play the character earlier in the year) very politely responded:
"No ma'am, or sir. I definitely will not."
So whilst Tatum will remain absent from X-Men: Apocalypse, there have been reports this week that none other than Hugh Jackman himself has been reportedly glimpsed on the set of Bryan Singer's film, filming what could be a small appearance or cameo of sorts. Which means that the actor will indeed reprise his role as hero Wolverine in the next movie. This was confirmed by a tweet from one Kika NY, a leather goods company who made a prop bag for the film. The tweet in question said:
"We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X-Men movie in Montreal."
Hard to argue with evidence like that.
