9. Katherine Waterston To Join Eddie Redmayne In Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them

Whilst it was only very recently revealed that Eddie Redmayne - star of Les Miserables and The Theory of Everything - had been cast as the lead in J.K. Rowling's upcoming Harry Potter spin-off movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Warner Bros. have now announced who is to play one of the two main female roles in the New York-set fantasy. And that person is Katherine Waterson, apparently, star of Michael Clayton, Night Moves and - most recently - Inherent Vice, in which she featured alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Waterston will play an American character called "Porpentina," who goes by the name "Tina" for short. How cute. It goes without saying that said character will also be a witch, this being Harry Potter and all. There are still a number of major roles to be cast, of course: that of Queenie, Tina's younger sister, and Jacob, who will serve as a semi-antagonist.
