1. Deadpool Film Likely To Receive A PG-13 Age Rating In The U.S

According to a podcast over on Schmoes Know, the director of the Deadpool film, Tim Miller, stated that the studio behind the film was on the cusp of figuring out how to make Deadpool true to his comic book roots even under the restriction of a PG-13 age rating. The quote is below.
I heard from the director that they finally figured out the script, and it was right before this was announced, that they figured out, and you guys are all going to hate this, that they figured out how to make it PG-13 and therefore not lose its soul - that's a quote - of the script so they can make it.
Of course, considering the secondhand nature of the information, it should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it will hardly be surprising if the film does receive such an age rating, as film studios are reluctant to restrict big-budget films to certain audiences. What age rating the film would receive in the UK remains to be seen, and while the 12A classification is the generally accepted alternative to PG-13, there have been instances in the past where the 15 certificate has been used instead.
