10 Movie Villains Who Actually Got Away With It
2. Anton Chigurh (No Country For Old Men)
In No Country for Old Men, Javier Bardem's ice-cold hitman Anton Chigurh murders without compassion or remorse on his way to recovering $2 million in drug money. Armed with a captive bolt pistol, he's the epitome of a killing machine.
Most filmmakers would never dream of rolling the credits with a character of this nature at large, but the Coen Brothers don't play by Hollywood's rules. Not only does Chigurh get his mitts on the money, his evil acts go unpunished.
Admittedly, karma catches up with him in the form of a car crash, but there's no evidence to suggest Chigurh, who is last seen limping off towards the abiguity on horizon after binding his wounds, died in that collision.
