10 Movie Villains Who Got Disappointingly Lame Deaths

4. Albert Wesker - Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Love or hate the Paul W.S. Anderson Resident Evil movies, Albert Wesker is an iconic villain from the video games who absolutely deserved an insanely over-the-top death. And given the film series' penchant for wildly ridiculous, indeed video game-y action, that certainly seemed to be on the cards.

But in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Wesker (Shawn Roberts) received a weirdly ill-fitting death, having his arm crushed by a security door in the film's climax at the behest of Umbrella's mischievous AI, the Red Queen (Ever Anderson).

Wesker is left to bleed out with his arm pulped beneath the giant door, before Alice (Milla Jovovich) places a dead man's switch in his hands.

Wesker drops the switch when he finally bleeds to death, triggering an explosion which obliterates his corpse and everyone left inside the Umbrella facility known as the Hive.

Yet considering that Wesker was killed with two rockets inside an active volcano in the video games, death-by-door can't help but seem totally unimaginative and low-effort by comparison, right?
