3. General Greivous Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith
Look, I know what you might say. If you watch the Clone Wars, you'll know that General Greivous kicks all sorts of ass, and I guess you'd be right. Yet while the Clone Wars was relatively popular, it pales into insignificance compared to the juggernaut that is the Star Wars live actions films. This is only an estimate, but I'd argue that only about 1 in 500 film-viewers (if that) got round to watching the animated series, meaning they were left with a rather underwhelming villain. So really, when your average film fan endures a half-film's worth of build-up telling us this cyborg-monster-thing is a kicker of all the asses, then sees him cough, wheeze, and eventually display the lightsaber-wielding ability of a hyperactive 10-year-old ('if I just spin them round, that'll solve all my problems!'), they were bound to be a little let down. I know Obi-Wan Kenobi is awesome and all, but most people probably expected a bit more of a fight than the routine vivisection/blast-a-thon he deals out to the Separatist leader. Obviously, they couldn't cram a whole Clone Wars worth of history into the run-time of a regular film, but Greivous would've really benefited from some scenes setting him up as a badass. As it was, we were left with something of a damp squib.
