10 Movie Villains Who Would Have Won By Doing NOTHING
5. Viktor - Underworld
Vampire elder Viktor (Bill Nighy) is generally accepted in Underworld lore to be the most powerful vampire who has ever lived, yet he makes a number of wholly unnecessary, blood-thirsty decisions which ultimately ensure his own demise.
For starters, in the prequel Rise of the Lycans, Viktor has his own daughter Sonja (Rhona Mitra) murdered for having a secret affair with a Lycan, which ends up kicking off the bloody Vampire-Lycan War.
But Viktor's single biggest mistake must surely be killing Selene's (Kate Beckinsale) father when she was young, yet deciding to spare Selene herself because of her strong resemblance to his own daughter Sonja.
This ultimately seals Viktor's own fate, as at the end of the first film it is Selene herself who ends up killing him by slicing his head in half.
This chain of events could've all been avoided if Viktor wasn't so damn particular about who his daughter was sleeping with.
Had he just let love bloom like it should, Viktor surely would've never ended up with a sword implanted in his skull but instead continued to rule as a powerful Elder forever more.
