10 Movies Everyone Confuses With Other Movies

7. Aeon Flux & Ultraviolet

Olympus Has Fallen White House Down
Paramount & Sony

Released in December 2005 and March 2006 respectively, Aeon Flux and Ultraviolet both starred raven-haired, athletic actresses in wildly overbaked, style-over-substance sci-fi action movies touting convoluted plots and, well, not much else.

It sure didn't help that both films were marketed with near-identical posters which cast their stars against grim-looking teal-toned cityscapes.

But in terms of their narratives, they both also revolve around an impractically-clothed female soldier attempting to dismantle a cartoonishly evil dystopian authority.

To be fair to Aeon Flux, it just barely manages to be watchable compared to Ultraviolet, which is surely one of the most visually garish films of the last 20 years.

Nevertheless, neither does much at all to distinguish itself from the other - much good, anyway - and in the end both were eviscerated by critics while audiences also kept well away.
