10 Movies Everyone Confuses With Other Movies
2. Olympus Has Fallen & White House Down
Gerard Butler strikes again, this time starring in one of the two "Die Hard in the White House" movies released in 2013.
Olympus Has Fallen casts Butler as a Secret Service agent attempting to protect the President (Aaron Eckhart) following a terrorist attack on the White House, while White House Down casts Channing Tatum as a policeman who, during a tour of the White House, finds himself forced to protect the President (Jamie Foxx) from an insurgent terrorist force.
Though Olympus Has Fallen is more serious tonally while White House Down is more comedy centric and higher-budget, their shared concept is so hilariously similar that you'd be forgiven for mixing the two titles up.
The only thing that really helps distinguish the two is the fact that Olympus Has Fallen was successful enough to get two sequels, while White House Down only barely recouped its ludicrously extravagant $150 million price tag.
