http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCy5WQ9S4c0 We're back in Dirty Dancing territory for Titanic, a manipulative tearjerker that I nevertheless do secretly enjoy despite disparaging it in public to most people I know. Though I don't care so much for the romantic elements - seemingly well crafted though they are - the spectacle is nevertheless fantastic, and though I remain dubious about the film's Oscar plaudits, I can't argue with the film as another astonishing technical achievement from James Cameron. At least there's that, then; it features its share of death and destruction, though the film is still embarrassing to own up to liking given that it's widely regarded as an emotional tearjerker more than it is a disaster flick. Because it's not totally cheesy, it didn't manage to break the bottom three on this list, but come on, guys, man up and admit that the film isn't that bad!
