10 Movies From 2012 That Didn't Get Enough Respect

9. Robot and Frank

Robot and Frank I know what you're thinking, and the answer is, yes - this is literally a movie about a house-keeping Robot and a man named Frank. I loved it. Initially this spot was reserved for the Jack Black movie 'Bernie', which is fantastic and sure to be a cult classic. However I realize it actually came out in 2011, so it didn't make the cut, but check it out. The story, set a short time in the future, involves a former cat burglar, played by Frank Langella, who's health is declining. His son (James Marsden) lives a few hours away and has a young family so he decides that a Robot Housekeeper may be the best way to keep his Father company, and to keep his house clean. Frank is completely opposed to the idea, however he realizes that he may have more use for the robot than he initially thought. While this film wouldn't be in my top 10 movies of the year, it caught me off guard. It surprised me, and while being a mostly comedic movie, it was it's heart-warming sincerity that turned this from an average movie to a very good one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4y8YAMPFhk
