10 Movies Nobody Wants To Admit Suck

6. Lightyear

Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny
Pixar

Even with their lower batting average in recent years, Pixar is still one of the greatest animation studios in film history, and it's never fun to come to terms with the fact that they've released another bad movie other than Cars 2.

On paper, Lightyear seemed like it couldn't miss; a Toy Story spin-off primed to serve as a campy throwback to classic sci-fi adventures like Flash Gordon. Except, that wasn't the movie Pixar decided to make. Given that Lightyear is supposed to be the very Buzz Lightyear picture that Toy Story's Andy watched back in 1995, it's bizarre that it's relatively serious, not very fun, and really quite boring.

It's simply tough to come away from this movie and appreciate why Andy, or really any child, would've ever fallen in love with it. Not even Pixar's signature visual flair can save Lightyear - it's a bafflingly pedestrian adjunct to the studio's flagship franchise, and one made even worse by that much-loathed plot twist.
