5. Batman: The Cathedral Fall Defies Physics
Maybe Batman Returns was supposed to be a dream because there's no way the Caped Crusader could have survived the events of the original Tim Burton film.
After dealing with The Joker, the Dark Knight and love interest Vicki Vale are left clinging to a ledge at the top of that gothic cathedral. It crumbles, sending them plummeting towards the ground.
It was a good job Batman has his trusty grappling hook handy, but firing it wouldn't have done him any good in real life. The pair fell somewhere between two and three hundred feet, reaching a speed probably close to 100mph.
When coming to an abrupt halt like that, the g-force would have torn off both of Batman's arms. Hell, it would have done Superman some serious damage.
