10 Movies That Terrify You (But Definitely Shouldn't)

7. The Witches

How the hell was this a PG? Demonic women that destroy children are quite obviously pretty horrifying to kids (and adults), but it's astounding how children managed to trust their elders after watching this movie. The witches weren't just mythical creations that lived around cauldrons in scary castles; they were members of the "RSPCC" - the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. They appeared as normal human ladies before pulling off shoes, masks and wigs to reveal the most hideous, hunchbacked nightmares. Not only that, but they planned to buy sweet shops and lace chocolate bars with a potion that turned children into mice. How could we trust women again after seeing that? Everywhere you go you're wondering if the nice lady on the bus is going to whip off her black bob, turn you into a rodent and crush every bone in your body. It's a wonder we even left the house.
