10 Movies That Abandoned The Source Material (For The Better)

Okay, this is the last Mark Millar property for this list, I swear. Because, frankly, the point is driven pretty thoroughly home by dissecting just one Mark Millar adaptation.

Civil War may have had some divisive elements, but at least much of the story could be adapted just fine (barring the parts that required characters the MCU couldn't use) without much worry.

That is definitely not the case with Old Man Logan. To recap, this series involves Logan traveling on his own after being tricked into murdering the entire X-Men in brutal, horrific display, alongside coming across various equally horrible things.

One of which is an inbred hillbilly Hulk that eats the people he smashes, and has been sleeping with She-Hulk. Because Mark Millar is the emotional equivalent of three gore-hound 13 year old boys who like putting ants under magnifying glasses stacked on top of each other wearing a trench coat.

Logan changes so much about the comic that it only bothered keeping one third of the original title. And frankly, thank god.
